Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, participants will be able to: - Safely perform peripheral intravenous cannulation. - Apply infection prevention and aseptic techniques. - Assess patients and select appropriate veins and equipment. - Safely insert, secure, flush, and remove peripheral cannulas. - Recognise, prevent, and manage common cannulation complications. - Safely prepare, set up, and operate syringe drivers. - Monitor patients and identify potential complications. - Troubleshoot common syringe driver alarms and equipment issues. - Administer medications safely in line with local policies and professional standards. - Maintain accurate clinical documentation and demonstrate competence in delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care.
