Learners will develop a comprehensive skill set to confidently manage all aspects of the interior department. Key areas include: Leadership and effective team communication Structuring and management of the interior department Development and implementation of Standing Orders and SOPs Health, safety, and security protocols (including HACCP, MSDS, COSWP) Risk assessment and preventative planning Strategic planning, budgeting, and procurement Recruitment procedures in line with MLC compliance Performance reviews and human resources management Development of training management plans and delegation techniques Inventory, asset, and resource management Planning and coordination of guest events and onboard experiences Destination research, itinerary planning,and activity coordination
Upon successful completion of the course, learners will be equipped with the expertise to manage the interior department of a superyacht with confidence and competence. Graduates will demonstrate the ability to lead teams effectively, oversee operational procedures, manage departmental budgets, coordinate events and guest experiences, and uphold compliance and safety standards. The course prepares individuals to take on senior leadership roles while promoting long-term career development within the yachting industry.
