Textual Analysis – Interpreting Qur’anic verses and authentic hadiths related to Tawheed and shirk. Critical Thinking in Aqeedah – Evaluating beliefs and practices in light of sound Islamic creed. Conceptual Clarity – Distinguishing between Tawheed, shirk, bid’ah, and cultural practices. Terminology Mastery – Understanding and correctly using key Arabic/Islamic terms (e.g., Rububiyyah, Uluhiyyah, istighatha, tawassul). Comparative Reasoning – Recognizing how correct Tawheed differs from deviant or superficial interpretations. Practical Application – Applying Tawheed principles to worship, intention (niyyah), and daily conduct. Da‘wah Readiness – Confidently articulating core beliefs when discussing Islam with others.
By the end of the course, students will be able to: Explain the three categories of Tawheed with evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah. Identify major and minor forms of shirk and bid’ah in belief and practice. Analyze common misconceptions about Allah, worship, and intercession. Defend the purity of Tawheed using authentic Islamic sources. Reflect on their own acts of worship to ensure sincerity (ikhlas) and conformity to the Sunnah. Communicate the message of Tawheed clearly and compassionately to peers or non-Muslims. Commit to continuously purifying their creed in alignment with the methodology of the Salaf.
