- Identifying acts of worship (du‘a, tawakkul, isti‘adhah, etc.) and directing them solely to Allah - Recognizing major and minor shirk in belief, speech, and practice - Analyzing Qur’anic verses and hadiths used as evidence for Tawheed - Understanding rulings on oaths, vows, sacrifice, and seeking help - Distinguishing between permissible and impermissible tawassul - Avoiding innovations in worship (e.g., grave veneration, exaggerated praise of prophets) - Applying caution (wara‘) in matters that lead to shirk - Defending Tawheed with textual knowledge and wisdom
By the end of the course, students will be able to: - Explain the core message of Kitab at-Tawheed and its relevance today. - Identify and avoid common forms of shirk in modern Muslim practice. - Justify rulings on Tawheed and shirk using direct textual evidence. - Worship Allah with greater sincerity, knowledge, and caution. - Understand why Tawheed is the foundation of Islam and the message of all prophets. - Confidently discuss creedal issues with clarity and compassion. - Commit to purifying their faith in line with the Quran, Sunnah, and understanding of the Salaf.
