The course covers the framework of the Responsible Business Standard, with a host of additional information, tools, resources and signposting. We do not adopt a one-size-fits-all approach, but work to a process called ASTI: Appropriate to the Size, Type and Impact of the business. The aim is to help delegates deep dive into every aspect of business operations and consider what is appropriate for their small business. The course covers UK legislation and best practice (Striving for Excellence) in six sections: • Workplace • Environment • Marketplace • Community • Ethics, Values & Transparency • Business Processes /Business Continuity
Delegates are provided with the tools to self-assess, acknowledge strengths and weaknesses, and produce a development plan. They will have a better understanding of the relevance of ESG in their unique business, the steps they need to take, and the ability to develop a plan. They will also understand the business benefits of embedding an ESG approach in business operations. For delegates interested in certification, the course will enable the majority of applicants to get audit ready without additional consultancy fees. The course provides all the information they need so they can get audit ready before they commit to the cost of certification.
