By the end of this session, participants will be able to: - Understand core principles of clinical governance in theatres, including safety, risk management, human factors, and learning from incidents - Apply safer surgery practices and human factors to improve patient safety, communication, and error reduction - Increase awareness of regulatory and safety requirements, including RPME, and their relevance to daily theatre practice - Build confidence in managing high‑risk clinical situations, including airway management, emergency care, and specialist surgical pathways - Promote psychological safety, effective multidisciplinary working, and continuous professional development to improve patient outcomes
